Walashek Industrial & Marine Inc. awarded Seaward Marine Services a firm fixed Purchase Order through competitive bid process to provide diving services in support of USNS Robert E. Peary at Naval Station Norfolk, VA.
Seaward Marine Services Mobile Diving Unit 2 was mobilized to complete the underwater work which included cleaning of the propeller, rudder, sea chests, bow thruster, appendages, and video inspection of the underwater hull and, running gear, and components. Work was completed September 14-18 on time and within the estimated budget.
